BOINCing for Science

BOINC is one of those fantastic things which not many people have heard of. You download an app to your Mac/PC and can donate your downtime to research projects that need massive computing power – modeling the climate,  virus protein sequencing etc.

You can also help SETI search for aliens (and why not, the whole distributed processing idea stared with SETI@home)
